Ready for a forever home.

Teddy is a 5-year-old neutered male golden retriever/labrador retriever. He is housebroken, crate trained, and loves car rides. He gets along/coexists well with other dogs and is indifferent/respectful of indoor-only cats. His favorite thing, though, is WATER! He basically lives in the kiddie pool and enjoys swimming and wading in any body of water. He was born with cataracts, so although his vision isn’t the greatest, his other senses, especially smell, are what he really relies on. He is the easiest dog ever to administer his daily eye drops; he sits and waits patiently and politely for it to be done! However, he can become overwhelmed by new smells in unfamiliar environments, so he performs best with a simple and consistent household routine. So, because of that, he would do best in a quieter, adult-only home. Teenage kids may be considered. He is strong-willed, but is learning to engage with his handler and walk on a looser leash; however, he will need an equally strong and consistent handler. He’s a very sweet, loving, and quirky boy who will thrive in a home that provides him with the simple structure he needs. Teddy is currently with his trainer in Tuolumne County. It will be essential to do a training handoff to benefit from the three weeks of Board and Train.

Coming Soon

In 3 weeks of Board and Train for evaluation. Teddy is a very sweet boy and prefers a quieter and less hectic home. We are working on basic commands and pulling on a leash. He does well with other dogs. Currently sleeps in a crate but it is not necessary. Medical is up to date. Medically, Teddy has sight issues and requires daily eye drops. The report will be shared. Currently, in Tuolumne County, the training handoff will take place.
