Tell us why you want to foster a Golden Retriever and bring it into your household.

Your Choice for a Golden Retriever

Dog with minor health or behavioral issues: please tell us any of your concerns re considering such a dog.

Barking: Many Goldens bark when someone comes to he door, but typically do not bark excessively at other times. Are you OK with this?

Shedding: All goldens shed requiring more vacuuming and house cleaning . Will this bother you?

Chewing, digging, etc.: Most Goldens are free of these traits, and if they occur can be trained out of them. Tell us if you would be willing to work with a fostered golden with one of these issues.

Caring For Your Golden Retriever

Who in your household will be the primary caretaker of this dog?

Where will the fostered Golden sleep at night? Please describe if different summer vs winter, good or bad weather, etc.

Where will the fostered Golden live during the day when you are home i.e., inside or outside, garage? Please describe if different summer vs winter, good or bad weather, etc.

Where will the fostered Golden stay if you are gone for long periods during the day?

When you travel, who will care for the fostered Golden?

How will you exercise the fostered Golden? Describe the area and what is available such as run, walk, swim, fetch, obedience or ability, other.

Describe how much responsibility will your child or children be given in the care and management of the fostered dog such as Housebreaking, Socializing, Feeding, Behavior, Grooming, Obedience, Training.

Vet care: NGRR expects it’s fostered dogs to see a vet whenever they have a medical problems. Is this ok with you?

Training Your Fostered Golden
