My name is Sophie and I am looking for my forever home. I was very sick girl when I came into NGRR but I am now a healthy 11 yo. I love to go for walks and do so well, my foster family trusts me off leash. I love children and all the cuddles and hugs. I am ok with other dogs but not very interested in playing with them. I would not be good with cats because I do chase any chance I can find them. When my people are gone during the day, I just curl up in my chair and go to sleep. I might be able to learn to stay off the furniture. I am a picky eater and need some coaxing so if you have other dogs, we can work on it. Are you looking for a wonderful companion…..I’m your girl.

I was a very sick girl when I came into NGRR and just completed my final surgery to remove a couple of masses. I am coming soon as soon as I get my stitches out. I just love hanging out with my people. I have gone on road trips, met new doggie friends, lots of kids, stayed in a hotel and can manage stairs in the home. I walk beautifully on a leash and potty trained. I am not best with cats. They run and I chase. Are you looking for a girl that likes to have pets throughout the day, I’m your girl.

Sophie is a very cute small red girl with a wonderful personality. She loves her people and will meet any new visitors at the door but then settles on her bed. She is a recently spayed female and may have been used for breeding so she warns off male dogs with approporiate behavior. A low small growl and then she goes to her bed and lies down. No issue with female dogs. She has a few more health issues that need to investigated and then should be available in 4-6 weeks. Stay tunded!
