Meet Sammy, a spirited and resilient 4-year-old Golden Retriever who joined our rescue in July 2025. Sammy is a lovable companion to anyone who takes the time to get to know him. After enrolling in an extended board-and-train program, Sammy has made remarkable progress over six months—his confidence has soared, and his reactivity to men and dogs has greatly diminished. He continues to thrive with his dedicated trainer, who is also fostering him while we search for his perfect forever home. Sammy now enjoys the company of five canine friends, playing happily together after proper introductions. Off his medication, Sammy's true Golden personality shines brighter every day. He no longer reacts to people or dogs on leash and delights in his long daily walks. Sammy's journey shows just how much potential he has when given love and consistent care.
