Special Home Needed

Rosie is the cutest little red girl, looking for her forever home, and is dedicated to her continued training for the next year, especially to help with her separation anxiety. She is up to date on her wellness and vaccinations but not spayed. The recommendation from her Vet Behaviorist is to wait until 2 years old. No intact male dogs in the home or with immediate family members. Kids over 6 years old are preferred. At least one adult must be home during the workday, as she is a puppy who eats three times a day and has limited ability to be left for extended periods. Rosie is now potty-trained and crate-trained. Her training has dramatically improved her separation anxiety, but will require patience and slow, consistent training. She is currently in a board-and-train program to address these issues, but she may regress when she moves to her forever home. She is learning basic commands, but can be very nervous on a leash away from home. Rides well in a car but must be tethered. She is improving when walking with another dog and receiving lots of rewards. She does very well with other dogs and will ideally be placed with a family that has a dog. Rosie is very smart and can be tested because she is an 8-month-old puppy. She is fostered in San Jose and weighs 42 lbs.
