Ripley

Ripley is a 6 year old neutered male goldendoodle that is standard size (approximately 84lbs) and does not shed. He's good with children and is very gentle overall. We recommend a household with children ages 8 or older because he will sometimes be tempted to gently take food out of hands if you're not paying attention! Ripley will do best in a home with an owner that has experience with training and is committed to reinforcing the basics while also giving him daily leash walks for exercise. Ripley loves going to dog parks, he is submissive and avoids dogs who scare him, plays and runs in a very happy go lucky way. Ripley would do well in a home with another dog that he can learn from and get exercise in a backyard situation. He is fully housebroken but has been known to countersurf . He is so tall he can see everything on the counter, so can you blame him??Foster parents are slowly leaving home alone no crate up to two hours and he has not gotten into mischief. Sometimes he is left with a family member's golden doodle for company while home alone and all is well. The ideal family would have someone home frequently. We are in the process of crate training him, and working on leash training. He heals well and we are working on his response to dogs walking by him without reacting (barks, not aggressive) and teaching recall in a secure place. He completed his wellness exam and is healthy and all vaccines are current.
