High Drive Field Golden Girl

Maggie is a very active, 7-month-old, 45-pound red Golden. As a high-drive Field Golden, she needs plenty of mental and physical exercise every day. Maggie came from a family with very young children and little dog experience. Her high energy became too much, and she started showing resource guarding around the young kids. We are looking for an experienced family, ideally with or without older children, who can provide regular exercise and ongoing training. Maggie has spent about half her life with a trainer, either boarding or in a board-and-train program. She has socialized with three teenage dogs (videos available) and has not shown resource guarding with the trainer. At the trainer’s facility, she has lots of space to run. Regular exercise is a must. She is currently being fostered in Marin.
