True Labor of Love

UPDATE - 7/25 Huey is now ready for his forever home after 5 weeks of board and training in San Jose. He now can walk on and off leash in a heal position, 30 minutes down stays with all kinds of distractions, is crate trained, and plays appropriately with 6-8 dogs daily. Huey is a neutered 70 lb boy, current on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested, and on Simparica. We are looking for a commitment to work with Brent with 2-3 sessions and continue to practice his training outside of his boarding situation. Our beautiful and special 4 yo boy Huey has warmed the hearts of everyone he meets. He has not had the best life but believes his owner loved him but had her life challenges. He lived his entire 4 years in an isolated and difficult hoarding situation. Huey came to us without basic training including not being potty trained, no toys, and no doggie play manners. He had a very scary bark and used it when he met new people or dogs on the street. Of course, the tail was wagging. Once he got to know you, you are his new best friend and will be met with a wagging tail. He bonded quickly with people who care for him. Norcal has invested in this beautiful boy to work on his issues and help build his confidence and trust. Please let us know if you could be a forever home or a foster to adopt. An experienced dog owner is required. A dog may be possible based on his training. No cats.
