Big and Cuddly Hoss

Meet Hoss—the golden retriever with a heart (and tail) as big as his appetite! This handsome 4-year-old, neutered gent weighs in at a solid 92 lbs, and he's on a mission to shed another 12-15 lbs. Thanks to his gourmet diet food and two daily adventures (aka walks), Hoss has already waved goodbye to 7 lbs! He's working on his stamina for longer escapades, currently strutting about a mile each time. Don’t worry—he’s up to date on all his medical checks and vaccinations, ready for whatever fun comes next. Hoss’s biggest challenge? He thinks every walk is a parade in his honor! Leash manners aren’t his strong suit yet, even with his snazzy harness and martingale collar. But don’t worry—he’s not aggressive, just eager to say hi to every person and pup he meets. Hoss is a social butterfly who greets other dogs with a wag and a smile. He’s a gentleman in the house—potty-trained, quiet (rarely barks!), and loves curling up in his own bed at night. Hoss can chill on his own for up to 4 hours during the day. This mysterious golden was found in a Monterey field, so his past is a bit of a puzzle. He could use a brush-up on basic commands, but his size means he’d do best with older kids (don’t worry, he’s not the jumpy type!). Hoss is currently living his best foster life in Fremont, waiting to meet his forever family.
