Looking for forever family and best doggie friend

George is ready to go! He has two new stylish crowns on his lower canines and he's eager to find his forever home. George LOVES other dogs and needs a doggie sibling. He will be a great companion to dog who can show him the ropes. He is gentle and sweet. He will wag his tail constantly if you interact with him. Yet, he is not rambunctious and will not jump up at your guests. He is quiet and easy even with other people in the house. He will take your lead about how much contact he is allowed but absolutely loves to cuddle on the couch. He will not be the dominant dog and will interact with gentleness. George is also very timid. New surroundings scare him. It will take patience to draw him out and let his personality shine. He has been slowly expanding how far he will walk around in the foster's neighborhood. He was scared of stairs but now goes up and down like a pro. He feels safe inside the house and we are slowly working up his confidence outside. George is being fostered in Oakland and would like you to make space on your dance card to meet him!

George

George is the sweetest boy. Seeks lots of attention from his people. Found on the streets and lived with a previous family until they started living in a 5th Wheel, which created stress for him. There were several dogs in the family, and there was a lot of moving around. We have learned a few things as we worked on his vet care. The original thought was that he was 1-2 years old. The current vet places him at 4-5 because of his teeth. We completed a cleaning and extraction of 5 lower teeth. He will need a root canal on his lower canines, but we need a dental appointment outside the current Chico area. We also did X-rays because he began limping on his left back leg. The X-rays showed fluid in the knees, which requires 2-4 weeks of rest. X-rays are being sent to one of our orthopedic doctors for review. He is being fostered in Chico.
