Andy

Andy is a half Golden Retriever- half Irish Setter 21 month old male. His original owner was elderly and did not spend a lot of time training or walking him. However he was with her constantly, and loves being with his "person or people". Andy was also used to a dog door to access the outdoors. He walks well on a leash, but needs work on basic commands. Andy is initially timid, but warms up to people and other dogs, and will benefit from more socialization. He is not food motivated, and does not resource guard his toys or food. He has been around children 9 and older. It is unknown how he is with cats, but has not been reactive to them while on walks. Andy interacts and plays well with other dogs and would probably benefit from having another dog in the home. Andy has some separation anxiety, so a person who is home more and is able to patiently work with him would be ideal. He is not crate trained at this time. Andy suffered the loss of his person recently and is in need of a good, loving forever home. If you can provide that for this handsome red boy, please contact us.
