Lucy the Golden Mix

My name is Lucy and the shelter estimated me to be 10-11 yo Golden Mix but I still have a spring in my step and love to go for long walks. I was initially found by the Napa County Shelter hurt and abandoned at the local dog. Some of you may remember my initial picture on Facebook and reached out to Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue to save me. I am a beautiful golden red. My head and face look Golden, and my fur and tail are more like a Lab. Shorter in stature and measuring 18 inches at the shoulder. A bit shy initially but settled in and became an active member of my foster family in a couple of weeks. Lots of dogs and kids at my foster home. With regular exercise, I continue to lose weight and now weigh 65 lbs. Did I say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my regular walks and doggie play dates? Great on a leash and can be trusted off-leash after settling in. I still need a boost to get into the car. I do try my best to counter surf but my size does prevent limited success
