Rehabbing from knee surgery

Kai is a sweet 4 yr old neutered male who was surrendered and discovered to have 2 torn ligaments in his knees. He had TPLO surgery on the first knee in mid-February and is recovering. He had a serious flea infestation and and a flea allergy that has been treated - and he will be even more handsome when his fur grows back in. Kai loves the humans and likes other dogs (lived with 1 small dog and a cat previously) and is getting along well with his golden foster brothers. He really seeks attention from the humans so would be happy as an only dog or living with another dog and/or cat. He loves to go on walks and was a major counter surfer prior to the surgery (starving, of course!). He has a willful streak that's pretty wide but will go anywhere you ask for a treat (he says to mention that string cheese is his favorite). Kai was scheduled to have his second TPLO in a couple of weeks but may need more time to rehab before having the second surgery (typical rehab time is 8 weeks). Reach out if you're interested in meeting Kai - ideally we're looking for a family fairly local to Lafayette, where we are working with his surgeon. He is being fostered in Walnut Creek.
