Caring for Faith

Faith is Special Needs - which means she will belong to Norcal for the rest of her life so that we can care for her medical issues. She has both megaesophagus and larangyl paralysis...combined making feeding/processing/digesting her food very difficult. We need to make her food so it's of a certain consistency, and contains all the nutrients she needs and can digest. She has had seizures in the past, so she takes Keppra, and she also has to have certain Probiotics twice a day to keep her gut as healthy as possible. She needs to eat in a Bailey Chair for Dogs, and remain there for 15 minutes after each meal to allow gravity to pull the food down. She is a lovely girl, can do most things my dogs do, other than go up and down the stairs (18 to get to the main yard) She is good with all people and all dogs! She is very adamant that any toy we have should be hers first, and then when she's done, others can play with it..:) Definitely very well housetrained, really nice manners, wants to be petted, and loved like all Goldens. cm
