Huey looking for his forever home.

Meet our beautiful and special 4 yo boy Huey who has warmed the hearts of everyone he meets. He has not had the best life but believes his owner loved him but had her life challenges. He lived his entire 4 years in an isolated and difficult hoarding situation. In the last two years, another dog was brought into the home as a puppy and he had 4 legged companionship. Huey came to us without basic training including not being potty trained, no toys, and no doggie play manners. He has a very scary bark and uses it when he meets new people or dogs on the street. Of course, the tail is wagging but the bark is big. Once he gets to know you, you are his new best friend and will be met with a wagging tail. He bonded quickly with people who care for him. Huey is now a neutered 70 lb boy, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and crate trained. Norcal has invested in this beautiful boy and he began a 5-week training program to work on his issues and help build his confidence and trust. He is making remarkable progress and looking for his forever home. He spends his days with 6-8 dogs depending on the dogs on site. We are hoping to complete the transfer of his training to his new owner at the end of July. He is currently in San Jose. Please let us know if you could be a forever home or a foster to adopt. An experienced dog owner is required. A dog may be possible based on his training. No cats.
